ABOUT ME
My name is Tyesha Ferron, and I am a writer, editor, and linguist in Atlanta who creates engaging digital content. Since childhood, I have been fascinated by language in all its forms, finding purpose using the power of words to help others achieve their goals. By combining a deep understanding of linguistic structure with successful web content production, I help brands communicate more effectively.
BUILDING MY WRITING EXPERIENCE
In undergrad, I studied linguistics, learning the fundamentals of language structure and how language can evolve between different people, places, and contexts. Following my BA, I joined the Women Who Drone writing team and started writing articles for the company's blog. Despite having no prior knowledge of the drone industry, I was able to gain insight through rigorous research and collaboration with industry professionals.
I eventually rose to the position of Senior Editor and Writer, where I balanced content creation with managing submissions from freelancers and guest contributors. This role honed my writing and editing skills as well as my expertise in research and publishing online content.
ACADEMIC FOUNDATION & ESL INSTRUCTION
I hold an MA from Georgia State University’s Applied Linguistics & ESL program, where I also earned a graduate TESOL certificate. My time volunteering with LaAmistad, Inc., and working as an adjunct ESL instructor at the Interactive College of Technology taught me how to explain complex concepts, provide actionable feedback, and maintain an engaging environment. All these skills translate directly into clear, audience-focused copywriting.
THE DIGITAL MARKETING DECISION
As an instructor, I realized that writing and creating online content brought me more professional fulfillment. This pivot led me to start my career as a full-time content writer. During my tenure, I produced over 300 assets, including blog posts, landing pages, and newsletters, for over 40 clients in various industries.
Currently, I work in content operations, where I leverage data analytics, the pillars of digital visibility (SEO, AEO, and GEO), and copywriting daily. I am also an active freelancer, helping diverse clients elevate their brands through strategic content.
